Getting Started. Creating a Profile

Be especially attentive when you create a profile on our successfully-chosen Russian Dating site. It's going to be one and only initial information about you, that very notorious first sight at which you'll either be fallen in love with, or dissed without any chance even for romantic chitchat.

First of all (advice that shouldn't even be mentioned but still...) be honest when indicating such parameters in your profile as age, height, weight, family status, ethnicity, occupation, children (whether you want them or not, if you already have any) etc Otherwise you'll sooner or later find yourself in an awkward and embarrassing situation of lying to a lovely Russian lady who you genuinely might like and grow attracted to in the process of communication. That's why be honest and straightforward when you indicate these criteria.

Secondly, think over what you'll say in the opening and closing parts of your profile, i.e. in its 'Who I Am' and 'Who I'm Looking For' sections. One of the main things is not to stick to extremes here. It means not to be too wordy or – on the other hand – not to let either of your sections contain a few words only. Make sure you include the brightest characteristics of yours in the describe-yourself section, don't forget to mention that you're kind, gentle, stable and family-oriented. Russian women pay special attention to the last few characteristics, always looking for a stable man whose intentions towards them are serious and sincere ('marriage-minded' being the key word of course). Adding that you don't drink or smoke would be a huge bonus for you (unless you do of course) because all Russian women are very into men who neither smoke nor drink. No vodka, sir!

Try to make your description original, avoid boring robotic enumeration of your character traits (even if you mention your bestest ones), surprise the ladies with a witty beginning and don't forget to impress them with your sense of humour in the end. The main thing is having the sense of measure both with intelligence and joking.

Now what to write in your 'Who I'm Looking For' section in order it to reflect your irresistible desire to find the Russian woman of your dreams? In order this woman of your dreams to positively react to your irresistible call of course. Again, try not to be too wordy or too 'silent' when describing Her. Be honest and attentive to detail – if you have any specific details to mention that is. For instance, you're obsessed with blue-eyed blondes – don't be shy to mention it then if you're purposefully looking for a fair-heaired blue-eyed soulmate only. Some Russian ladies aren't very fond of reading such detailed criteria for they may feel they're treated as beautiful dolls only, however, if this is important to you – it's better to mention it in a light-hearted witty way. Try to avoid the looking-for-a-hot-russian-blondie-with-perky-breasts-of-this-and-that-size descriptions, as well as something written in the same spirit. They do not contribute to your image of a one-woman family-oriented marriage-minded decent gentleman.

The main thing is that in an ideal your profile should look and sound harmonious: concise but informative, serious but positive and slightly spiced up with good sense of humour.
