Stereotyping Russian Women. Uninspiring Opinions

You've probably already heard the most uninspiring things they say about Russian women. Let's point them out and put them into rights regarding their credibility.

The first negative opinion on Russian Women suggests their viewing as dependent, shy, reserved, not wanting to work, passive and very pleased with hanging down their legs from your shoulders in an unimaginable non-sensual sense. There's also opinion that Russian women live in a completely different world, they are narrow-minded, bad with the simplest everyday things, inadaptable and reserved. The whole thing is highly exaggerated, we must say. Russian ladies are neither narrow-minded nor reserved, we've already dwelled upon intellectual skills of most of them. However, the idea comes from the fact that first time after arriving in the West Russian woman can seem slightly slow because of her ignorance about simple everyday things. She most probably doesn't know how to 'get along with' an automatic washing machine or some kitchen equipment. You Russian lady may be even unaware about payment by check or credit card but that's only because most Russians use only cash as payment method. She's by no means stupid and doesn't know about these facilities because she never used them. She'll learn everything easily as well as the language if she doesn't yet speak it.

Another uninspiring stereotype about Russian women is that they hate Russian men and are all eager to escape Russia for the better life abroad. It's all a pure exaggeration of course. Russian ladies have nothing against Russian men for they are nice and smart. However, they cannot make good husbands and the reasons why are alcohol abuse, their poor health conditions (the former often results in the latter), and slightly spoiled attitude to women. There's also such reason as demographic disproportion between men and women which means that women outnumber men in Russia. The difference isn't really huge; however, it gives a big number of lonely women who have lost their hope to find an appropriate partner. The statement that all Russian women would happily escape to more prosperous countries is highly exaggerated too.

Another negative stereotype about Russian women is that they are easy and ready to have sex with anyone who offers them money or other material goodies. Most of the times women 'from' this very stereotype are also viewed as bitchy nymphos (excuse our straightforward French) who are very eager to sexually dominate their rich 'preys'. What we can comment here is that of course there are prostitutes and indecent women among female representatives of Russian nation, however, they hardly ever seriously look for a husband abroad. So many Russian women, so many sexual preferences, who knows maybe you will be lucky to meet Your Dominant Russian Nympho and enjoy all her skills developed with and presented for you only. All these negative opinions (myths) about Russian Women are either grossly exaggerated or totally untrue. One universal thing should be realized first and foremost irrespective of all views and stereotypes: Russian women are human beings, with all the glory and tragedy backgrounding this down-to-earth description.
